The 4815 series introduces extended depth of focus (EDOF) and extended dynamic range (EDR) features. EDOF allows objects with different depths to be captured clearly using image stacking technology at different focus points.
Dino-Lite Edge series is designed to meet more professional needs. Sporting a new cap design, it combines the best design elements of the previous detachable (AM) and non-detachable (AD) cap series by having the stability of a fixed base with interchangeable tip. A new 1.3MP CMOS sensor brings even better clarity and focus, especially at the edges.
The AM4815ZTL has an additional polarizer filter to filter out glare from shiny, reflective surfaces.

This model features a detachable and interchangeable front cap that extends its range of use, as different caps are available for various applications. Removing the front cap provides greater working distance and access to the full magnification range.
Take picture-perfect photos quickly and conveniently with the MicroTouch shutter button. This small, round, touch-sensitive button responds to the lightest touch to avoid blurry photos caused by excessive movement of the microscope. The MicroTouch shutter button can also be configured to control video recording, trigger barcode scanning, or switch on/off the LED lights.
The wide magnification range (10x to 140x) is achieved with working distances greater than 29 mm (without front cap), which can be helpful when clearance is required between the microscope and the viewing object.
This Dino-Lite Edge series microscope connects to the USB 2.0 port on any compatible Windows PC. Once connected, users can easily record, manage, and share their observations using our proprietary software (DinoCapture 2.0). This software is provided free of charge to customers and features professional measurement tools with calibration.
To view a rough surface with height range out of depth of focus, EDOF capture mode can take several pictures at different focus and stack them automatically within a click. The resulted EDOF image maintains the picture quality from its original pictures which also can be reviewed in DinoCapture 2.0.
For high contrast or reflective surface, the EDR capture mode can help to reveal the details of dark or bright areas, which may lost in normal capture mode, by stacking images taken at different exposure levels.
